this past weekends poker ride was epic (as much as i hate that word). arroyos, graffiti, ancient airports, more broken hips than a retirement community. sunday was the memorial ride for javi. family and friends finished javi’s ride home for him.
the day of the dead parade is here again, and once more we’ll ride that ish. the parade proper starts @ 2pm, but we’re expected to assemble at the start by 1pm, meaning, we should meet at the unm duckpond at noon for a leisurely group ride to the south valley. bring candy.
paint your face calavera style in advance, or use some of the makeup that we’ll have on hand…candy.
did i mention bring candy? every year, i bring twice the amount of candy that i brought the year before…each year i run out before the end. what does this mean? is there some sort of candy black hole in el valle sur? …what it means is, bring more candy!

the race starts @ fixed and free, 114 tulane se. this will be your typical alleycat…fast riders, slow riders, lost riders, lost manifests and receipts. don’t forget flat tires and fun.
not sure of the exact stops, but generally, you’ll be picking up food items at different stores around town. all goodies will be donated to roadrunner food bank. make sure to bring $10 and a bag to hold aforementioned goodies.
