frosty foothill adventure
friday @ the duckpond. 530pm. have fun, be merry, celebrate your right to ride (what?). anyhow, come out and join the mass.
luminaria ride 2012
the poker ride is for suckers…you wouldn’t like it.
riding bikes…too much effort.
drinking beer? who even does that?
it’s gonna be really cold tonight.
how many more reasons do you need to stay home and watch commercials all night, warm and toasty under your walmart/chinese fleece. trust me. the poker ride is not for someone as cultured and cool as you.
…of course, if you change your mind. hidden park. 9ish. tonight.
apocaloops now…actually friday
after airing my grievances @ the festivus poker ride…i think i’m ready. are you ready? this friday, the mayan long count calendar ends.
for some…it means the end of the world.
for others…time to buy a new calendar.
for me? a good reason to take a day off, ride a bike and drink copious volumes of beer. join me for the last ride of the era, 10am in front of fixed and free/tractor. we’ll do a loop, starting with a tour of the ghetto (!!) as we head towards tramway, then up tramway, then down tramway, a quick pass by the balloon museum (in memorium of so much hot air that is the apocalypse), then south on the diversion trail to points known, and unknown. is it a long ride? yeah…quit being such a wussy. the end of the world only happens every few years.
stops will include, but are not limited to: manzano mesa park, piedra lisa trailhead (whitewash), an unspecified arroyo, graffiti tunnel, la cumbre(?)….
